There are quite a few "Littleberry" Roaches in this family. As best I can sort them out, they are as follows:
And more in succeeding generations...
Were Littleberry and Greenberry the same person? Both were supposed to have been killed in the Greenbriar Massacre in 1763, but Littleberry was said to have married Margaret See, and Greenberry married Sarah See.
Children born after 1763 were not fathered by a person who died in 1763.
Beriah LittleBerry was born about 1730. Beriah LittleBerry's father is Beriah LittleBerry Roach Sr and his mother is <Unknown>. His paternal grandfather was Henry Roach and his paternal grandmother is <Unknown>. He had three brothers named William Henry, Lewis and John. He is the youngest of the four children.

Notes for Beriah Littleberry Roach, Jr.:
GREENBRIER MASSACRE: John Ewing, captured at Muddy Creek, said that the massacre took place on July 15, 1763, and that the captives were released at Pittsburgh May 14th, 1765. (Chalkley, Vol. 2, page 93).
There are many and diversified accounts of the events that took place on 7/15/1763.One book relating the history of Monroe County Virginia, clearly states there was one person who escaped the day of the massacre, and then goes on to describe two persons who each related their escape. So far, the events that have been related do not exclude the ancestry that is described here, but there are some who would refute this. These persons maintain that that by one account of an escapee, the oldest child of Littleberry Roach was thrown against a tree and killed, and that there were therefore no surviving children to carry on the line.I am not certain how one could determine which child was thrown against a tree that day, and whether or not if was a member of the Roach family, but even if that were accurate, Littleberry and Margaret were wed in 1758, and there were supposedly at least two children older that Jonathan who was supposed to have been born in 1762. Both Michael and William do not show as having any descendants, nor have I found any birth or death dates for them as yet. What I do find as confusing however, is the list of children who were supposedly born after that date if Littleberry was indeed killed that day. There is always they possibility that the family was not even in the area that day, or that Littleberry himself was gone from home.Obviously more extensive research is necessary to prove relationships of further ancestry.
If you read the original reference again, it indicates that John Ewing was captured at muddy Creek and released two years later. At least one other account I read indicates there were no men taken captive (perhaps John Ewing was a child at the time) and the women and children who were taken captive were relapsed seven years later.
