The Bunbury Herald and Blackwood Express WA, Fri 1 April 1921; MRS B. BLECHYNDEN:

At St. Clair's Hospital, Bunbury, on Tuesday morning, Mrs Bertha Blechynden, wife of Mr James Blechynden, of Bridgetown, passed away. Canon Adams officiated at the interment of her remains in the Anglican portion of the New Cemetery South Bunbury, on Wednesday afternoon. They were enclosed in a polished jarrah casket.

The deceased lady was a daughter of the late Frederick Johnson, of Bunbury, and daughter of Mrs M. I. Johnson, who resides in Eileen Street. Her brothers, Messrs C G, F W.and R G Johnson, are now living in Bunbury, and she had six sisters who are married and living in different parts of the State.

She was born at Rockhampton, Queensland, 39 years ago, and in 1903 married James Blechynden, who was then residing at 'Springfield", Dinninup, Upper Black wood.

For eight years before her marriage Mrs Blechynden was a school teacher at Boyup Brook and Diuninup, respectively.

Her husband survives her and her loss is also lamented by five children, Mabel, Ellen, Myra, Hubert, and Charles, the eldest being 15 years of age and the youngest eight. Messrs W Brittain and Son were responsible for the funeral arrangements.
