Bertha was murdered by the Nazis. In the Yad Vashem lists, it says she was murdered with other handicapped people in a ghetto in the town of Hartheim, Austria. A researcher Mr. Bachmayer from Memmingen wrote to me saying she was in a mental hospice and was euthanized with all other inmates in Chelm (Sobibor). She lived before the war in Kaufbeuern, Germany,
