Augustine Cobb had the following children recorded in Taunton:[5] The mother of his children is said be named Bethia[6] and she may be named in an agreement dated 23 June 1709.[citation needed]

• 2. Morgan, b. 29 December 1673, m Abigail ______ who d. 29 or 30 January 1765
• 3. Samuel, b. 9 November 1675, m Lydia Hoskins, the sister of Samuel Hoskins Jr.
• 4. Bethiah, b. 5 April 1678; m John Read Jr.
• 5. Mercy, b. 12 August 1680; m Samuel Hoskins Jr.
• 6. Abigail, b. 28 May 1684; m Thomas Lincoln Jr.

Although references have been made to his wife being named either Elizabeth or Bethia, no sources have been found for either of those claims.
