Byrdie Roberts

Byrdie Toole (1921-2014) was a daughter of Oliver Wray Toole & Bennie Helen Ross Hankinson.

Wife of Leroy Calvin Roberts (1924-1996).

Obituary:

Mrs. Byrdie Toole Roberts, 92, wife of the late Leroy Roberts, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, January 13th, 2014.

Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Oliver Wray and Bennie Hankinson Toole.

She graduated with honors from the School for the Deaf, Spartanburg, SC. A talented Seamstress, she worked with Homestead Draperies, Augusta, GA and later in life became a Homemaker. She was a devoted member of the Baptist Church for the Deaf, West Columbia, SC and attended evening services at Pine Forest Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, family members include a daughter, the late Rachel Roberts Herron, siblings, Rodney (Josephine) Toole, Warrenville, SC, Ross (Arlie) Toole, Warrenville, SC, Mary (Glenn) Harris, Aiken, SC, Sara (Benny) Conley, North Augusta, SC and Ellen (JH) Galloway, Warrenville, SC; grandson, Christopher (Laura) Herron, Houston, TX; and great-grandchildren, Justin and Jacob.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Pine Forest Baptist Church, Warrenville, SC, with Pastor Ron Doss
officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
