Cäcilie Smetana

According to info given by Susan Soyinka:

"I am the great grand daughter of Cacilie Smetana nee Neumann (1863-1941) sister of Alexander Neumann. I note that you have not included her as one of Alexander's siblings. Cacilie was married to Josef Smetana, my great grandfather (1858-1941). In 1908 Alexander designed and built Cacilie a large house at Kupelwiesergasse 13, where Josef and Caciie lived, together with the family of their daughter Gusti Steininger, until the Anschluss. Their other children were Friedrich (Fritz) Smetana, 1889-1938 (my grandfather), Otto Smetana 1891-1978 and Karl Smetana 1899-1988. A while ago I was in contact with Alexander's granddaughter Maria who told me there were 10 Neumann siblings in all, and sent me a photo of them.

"Cacilie Smetana nee Neumann's dates are 2nd October 1863 - 3rd December 1941. Sadly she and my great grandfather Josef committed suicide rather than be deported. They were buried on 12 December 1941 at Zentralfriedhof IV. Tor (22, 29b, 19), Vienna, Vienna, Austria, where my grandfather Fritz Smetana was also buried.
