JOHN3, Dea.Theophilus2, John Sr.1 (of Stonington)

John Baldwin, son of Dea.Theophilus Baldwin and Priscilla Mason, was b. in Stonington, Conn., on July 12,1711; m. Feb. 6,1736, with MARY CLARKE. "Theophilus Baldwin, Justice of the Peace," performed the ceremony. She died Jan. 24,1737, after the birth of a son. He m. 2nd, on July 3,1740, with EUNICE SPALDING, of Plainfield, Conn., dau, of Thomas Spalding, and was twin of Andrew, b. July 28,1720. He appears in the record as Capt. John; he d. 1762. His widow had a second husband; outived him by more than thirty years, and d. Jan. 1819, aged 98 yrs, and 6 mos.

Children were: John (by Mary), b. 1736; d. 1737

Children by Eunice: Mary (1741), Priscilla (1743), Elizabeth (1745), Eunice (1747), Thomas (1751), John (1752), and Ziba (1755).
