Son of John Martin Gent. and Elizabeth (Lewis) Martin
Thomas Martin was born Jan 6, 1714 at Parish St Peters St Paul, King William, Virginia, USA. Thomas married Anne Moorman and had 12 children - six boys and six girls. He married an unknown Glover. Thirdly, he married Mary Sudderth and they had one son, Abraham. He died 25 Jul 1792 at Locust Grove Plantation, Albemarle, Virginia. He is buried at his homestead, called 'Locust Grove Plantation' in Albemarle County, Virginia.
From Thomas's will (in part): Item, I give and Bequeath unto my Son Thomas Martin £70 Specie to be paid to him by my Exors in Twelve months after my Decease
Item, I give and bequeath unto my gran Daughter Milley Moor one feather Bed & furniture to her & her heirs forever.
Item my further will is that all the Rest of my Estate Real and personal or of whatsoever nature it may be shall be sold by my Exors & Equally divided amongst the following Children Charles Martin, John Martin, Thomas Martin, Pleasant Martin, George Martin, Letty Moor, Milley Oglesby, Nancy M. Blane, Molley Dawson Martin Moor.
