Timothy Delano 1729-1777 married Lydia Lathrop and his brother Jethro Delano 1732-? married Lydia's sister Elizabeth Lathrop.

Captain Timothy Delano was a veteran of the French & Indian War, serving at Ft. William Henry in 1757. Also served as a private in the Revolutionary War, answering the Lexington Alarm in 1775.

Timothy Delano , son of Jonathan Delano and Amy Hatch, was born on the 4 of November 1729 in Tolland, Tolland County, Connecticut, which is also where he died on the 12 April 1777. He married Lydia Lathrop, the daughter of John Lathrop and Ann Hatch, on the 1 August 1754 in Tolland Tolland Connecticut. She was born on the 21 June 1736 in Tolland, Tolland County, Connecticut, and died there at a date unknown.

Timothy served in the French and Indian war in 1757 under Captain Stoughton’s Company of Connecticut Volunteers and was present at Fort William Henry when it was attacked by General Montcalm. Timothy became a Selectman of Alstead, Cheshire County, New Hampshire in 1762-3 and became the first clerk there in 1769. In 1773 he was chosen as Captain of Alstead’s first Militia. He served as a private in the Revolutionary War answering the Lexington Alarm in 1775, better known as Paul Revere’s Ride.
