Stonington by Rev. Ebeneze Russell. Admitted to N. Stonington Church, CT
18 Feb 1732/33 ( Rev. Joseph Fish, Pastor) Uriah was living there at the
time of his marriage.

Removed to Canaan, Ct bef Oct 1739. He was one of the listers 2 Dec
1740. Constable and tax collector 1741. A selectman 1744. One of the
incorporators of the town of Canaan 28 May 1745. Clerk of the church
1753.

In the French and Indian War he served as Capt. under Col. Ebanezer Marsh
at the relief of Fort Wm. Henry, NY- Aug 1757. (have) He is listed in
"HISTORY OF STEUBEN CO." pg 364 as "Soldier of the Old French War"
