The first we heard of Bryant Morton ( this is according to the History of Gorham, Me) he was daughter of John and Jerusha a citizen of Falmount ( Cape Elizabeth) in about 1738. They had no ecords of him before that but I have seen records in the Cape area of Mass. His wife Thankful was from the Barnstable/ Plymouth area of Mass. They had ten children. He married in Cape Elizabeth June 23, 1771., his second wife Lucy White Chamberlain, daughter of John and Jerusha White. At this time was the widdow of Arron Chamberlain. Bryant and his 2nd wife had two children. He was in Cape Elizabth, when he purchased from Augustus Bearse's. on Sept. 28, 1750,the rights in Gorhamtown. June 28, 1751, the Proprietors of gorham deeded him land, at which time he was at Gorhamtown.
