David FRANKLIN (son of Jonathan FRANKLIN and Sarah (twin) SMITH) was born 04 May 1692 in Haverhill, MA, and died 11 May 1739 in Drowned in Boston, MA.
He married Elizabeth AYRES on 18 Jun 1713 in Boston, Suffolk, MA, daughter of Moses AYRES, Jr and Elizabeth TOLMAN. David's widow, Elizabeth Ayres, married Solomon Lincoln of Scituate, Plymouth, Massachusetts. "I have not determined as yet when she died or where she's buried."

David Franklin was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts a year before his father, Jonathan, was killed there by Indians. His mother, Sarah (Smith) [Stevens], married a third time, John Fields of Boston.
Prior to the 1695 Boston City census, a John Fields was listed as a "Shoomaker". The family was living in Hull, Massachusetts when David married Elizabeth Ayres, only daughter of Moses Ayres, Jr.
David was a sea captain, commanding the sloop, GEORGE. Muster roll of the sloop on November 15, 1725 is as follows:
