brief biography and family
Edward was the second son of eleven kids mentioned in his father's will of 1742.

The family was raised on the The Drake Homestead, that was near Plainfield, in Watchung, Somerset, NJ. It is believed that Edward built his home circa 1740. (see photo), which overlooked the Washington Valley. These lands possibly were his final resting place.
