The son of CAPT. JOSEPH & KESIAH (PEABODY) KINNE, he was baptized November 26, 1727 in Preston (now Griswold), Connecticut. He married Sarah Dennison on October 4, 1748 in Preston, Connecticut. and was a successful farmer. He served in the French & Indian War and in the Revolution.
Ezra and Sarah owned covenants with the Second or North Preston Church on April 22, 1750.
His will dated February 22, 1794 was probated in Norwich, Connecticut. on February 16, 1795. He mentions his beloved sons: Peabody, Dennison, and Ezra Kinne; and his beloved daughters: Joanna, Mary (Mercy), Jemima, Sarah, and Senthe.
