Educated at Eton and Sandhurst; joined 3rd Bn. Coldstream Guards Jan., 1900. Served in the South African Campaign with the 2nd Bn. (1901-2). His son Captain Sir John Hargreaves Pigott-Brown fell in the 1939-1945 War.
