Known as Daniel.

Daniel Will: Revolutionary War Veteran. He served throughout the Revolutionary War as an ensign in the Pennsylvania troops. Daniel Will was commissioned Captain of the 7th Company, 3rd Battalion on May 17, 1775. On March 10, 1790, he was commissioned Captain of the 4th Company, 3rd Battalion, according to Berks County, PA, Archives, 5th Series, Vol. 5, pages 193-209.


American Revolution veteran: Capt, PA Militia

Daniel was commissioned a Captain May 17, 1777 of the 7th Company, third batallion, Berks Co. Militia. He was also commissioned Captain May 10, 1780 of 4th Company, fourth batallion, Berks Co. Militia.

Tombstone inscription reads: "In Memory of Daniel Will was born in Rockland Township, Berks County, PA on the 5th day of February 1747 and died the 17th day of September, 1820."

The date of February 5 is actually his baptismal date. The Will Family bible gives his birth date as January 12, 1747 in Hesse-Cassel, Germany. His parents Gerhard Will and Mary Barbara Drach immigrated to Berks County, Pennsylvania, where Daniel grew up.

Daniel married the daughter of Conrad Lora, Maria Magdalena Lora, on October 26, 1766 in Berks County, Pennsylvania.
