Joseph Royall Farrar (c. 1740) was a tithable in the household of Joseph Woodson in 1759. He took the oath of militia captain 17 June 1766.
He resided in Goochland County until about 1785 when he moved to Fayette County, Kentucky, where he died. Joseph married first 3 August 1762 Phoebe Harris.
He married second Mary Gaines 26 September (bond) 1774 and third, about 1783, Jane Ford, daughter of Thomas Ford.
