About Caroline Rose Walton
Caroline R. Walton, 68, Pineville Route 1, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Hospital at Rogers, Ark., after an illness. Mrs. Walton was born June 12, 1920, at Sabetha, Kan. She moved to Pineville in 1955. She was a member of Simsberry United Methodist Church. She married Lawrence G. “Dewey” Walton on Jan. 25, 1942, at Sabetha. He survives. Additional survivors include two daughters, Betty Ragland and Christie Beck, both of Pineville: a sister, Ina Rokey, Mesa, Ariz.; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Simsberry United Methodist Church, southeast of Pineville, with the Rev. Raymond Rumbo officiating. Burial will be in Simsberry Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jack Anderson, Roger Meppen, Arthur Meppen, Bill Bean, Howard Pratt and Marvin Johns. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Ozark Funeral Home, Pineville.
