About Lawrence Glenn Walton
Lawrence “Dewey” Walton, 86, Pineville Route 1, died at his home April 18 at about 5:10 pm after a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 8, 1906 at Sabetha, KS. He had lived in Pineville since 1955. He worked in construction and was a farmer. He was a member of Simsberry United Methodist Church. He married Caroline Palmer on Jan. 25, 1942, at Sabetha KS. She died April 3, 1989. Survivors include two daughters Betty Ragland and Christie Beck, both of Pineville; a brother, Dale Walton, Augusta, KS, one sister, Lillian Rooney, Sabetha, KS; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10am April 21 at Simsberry United Methodist Church. The Rev. Raymond Rumbo, Rev. Bob Robinson and Rev. Al Fowler officiated. Burial was in Simsberry Cemetery, under direction of Ozark funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jerry Walton, Howard Pratt, Roger Meppin, Marvin Johns and Mel Kennedy.
