About Catharine Diessler
Catharine Caquelin or Coquelin was born in Waldersbach, Bas-Rhin, France near the end of 1724. She was the daughter of a non-Germanic family, but she nevertheless married Johannes Diessler, who possibly was Huguenot, in their hometown. After having most of their family, they emigrated to Pennsylvania, along with a number of other Coquelin siblings of Catharine's.
Catharine and Johannes settled in Heidelberg Township, in what is now Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
