About Catharine Weidman
Rev. Leibensberger reported her death on Oct. 26, 1897, near Lexington, Pa., and burial on Oct. 30. He identified her as "Daughter of John Zartman and his wife, Regina (Steiner). Baptized in youth by Rev. Bates. Confirmed in early age in Lutheran Church at Brickerville. Married to Elias Weidman on Aug. 6, 1844. 3 children (all sons) were born. All survive. Died of palsy. Aged 75 yrs., 9 mos.& 18 days." Inscription: CATHARINE WEIDMAN Born Jan. 8, 1822 DIED Oct. 26, 1897 AGED 75 Yrs. 9 Mon. 18 days
