Listed on EC worksheet for White Earth Reservation, worksheets #O-755, as Catherine Beaulieu Fairbanks, mother of the principle subject (Maggie Morrison of Red Lake), with proportion of Indian blood '1/4'. It appears that Maggie erouniously lists her grandparents as John D. and Margaret Beaulieu. BIOGRAPHY: Catherine's decendants of the name of Fairbanks were: Margaret, who married the fur-trader, Allen Morrison, from whom Morrison county was named (he was a brother of Wm. Morrison whose marriages with the Indians were "tribal," and temporary, and whose descendants are mainly in Wisconsin, also at Grand Portage, Minn., and who was the discoverer of Itasca Lake in 1804); Clement; Sophia (married Roy, White Earth); Robert P., now at White Earth, a merchant; John B., White Earth; Julia (Married Rogers, White Earth; Charles H., farmet, White Earth. ("Genealogy of the Fairbanks Family in America.") DEATH: Notes from file No 2-8-4 for Robert and Catherine Fairbanks. In a letter dated May 11, 1915, "...The court found that Robert Fairbanks died April 5, 1901... ...Catherine Fairbanks died January 5, 1902..." DEATH: St Benedict's Mission Interment book.
