Catherine was born to John and Elizabeth (Wheaton) Winter. There are varying records concerning both the year of Catherine's birth and where she was born. I've used the date and site most referred to. Her father died in 1651 and her mother married James Turner. One record claims Catherine was unjustly beaten by a man named George Russell who was taken to court and penalized.
Then there are multiple records that state Catherine was caught fornicating with her stepfather James Turner.
She would never marry and after an apparently troubled life, she passed away in 1658.
