"Thomas RAY was born on 9 Aug 1766 in Cumberland Co., New Jersey.
He died on 2 Dec 1841 in Ross County, Ohio.
Thomas was a very large man weighing in at 350 pounds.
His wife only weighed 90 pounds.
Thomas resided in North Carolina until 1805 then moved to Ohio.
Thomas received a land grant at the fork of Pigeon Creek and North Fork.
With a group of immigrants, Thomas and Charity moved from North Carolina to Jackson County, Ohio.
The party paused somewhere in Virginia for two days to welcome the newest arrival to the family, Teague. Following a day of rest, she climbed on her pony and rode off with her new born son."
