"We believe that Charles2 Mabry was born about 1693/94 in Henrico County, Virginia, a son of Francis Maybury and Elizabeth Gilliam. While no record of Charles Maybury's marriage has been found, we do know from other records, including his will, that his wife's name was Rebecca(1) .
Records of the Loftin family say that Rebecca Loftin married Charles Mabry. Furthermore, Rebecca Loftin was a daughter of Cornelius Loftin (1675-1735). This Cornelius Loftin was the son of an older Cornelius Loftin (1632-1686). This provides us with additional circumstantial evidence that the wife of Charles Mabry was Rebecca Loftin, since Charles and Rebecca had a son, Cornelius, a name otherwise not known in the Mabry family. When Elizabeth Maybury wrote her will in June 1713, she named her two youngest sons, Charles and Hinchia to be her executors. Both were probably still living at home with her. Charles was not much beyond the age of majority when he went into Surry County Court with the inventory of his mother’s estate on 21 March 1715. On 16 March 1749 Charles2 Mabry wrote his will, naming his sons: Charles, Jr., Francis, William, Ebill (Abel), Cornelius; and his daughters: Elizabeth, Rebecca, Emidia, Mary Battle and another not named. His executors were his wife, Rebecca and his sons, William and Charles (2).
