On 9 March 1619 the Testament Dative and Inventory of the deceased Robert, Master of Colville, was given up by his widow, who is identified as Marioun Bruce. when she actually was named Christian Bruce. It was given up in name and behalf of their son Thomas Colville who was still a minor child on this date. Thomas Colville was confirmed as his father's executor dative on the same date. 9 August 1630: Charter by King Charles the First granting and confirming to John, Lord Wemyss, the lands and barony of Easter Wemyss and the lands and barony of Tullycultre, etc., as described, in the shires of Fife and Clackmannan respectively, resigned on 9th August 1630 by James, now Lord Colvill of Culross, with consent of Dame Magdalen Young, his wife, Christine Bruce, his mother, Dame Helen Schaw, relict of James, late Lord Colvill, James Campbell of Lawers, Mungo, his son, fiar of Lawers, and others; and erecting Easter Wemyss into a barony.
