Note: Sir George Bruce of Carnock's eldest son, also George Bruce of Carnock, is not mentioned in the testament dative of his father's wife Euphame Primrose. It should be noted, however, when heritable property was expected to pass to the eldest son, or had already done so, that the heir would often be excluded from benefiting from the moveable estate of his deceased mother.
