Obituary- "Clara Mae Hurst, 96, was born at Miletus, Doddridge County, a daughter of the late Alvin Spencer and Edna Mae Sperry Nicholson.

On June 21, 1941, she married Bernard W. Hurst, who died December 7, 1995. Surviving are one daughter, Peggy Lou Hurst; one daughter-in-law, Carol Hurst;grandchildren, Lisa Dawn Devine and husband Kevin and Eric Spencer Hurst and great-grandchildren, Zach and Zane Devine.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Bernard W. Hurst, grandson, Ricky Lee Hurst, brothers, Alvin and Delbert Nicholson and two sisters, Gwen Nicholson and Eileen Nicholson."
