Déporté à l'automne de 1755 de Port-Royal à la Nouvelle-Angleterre, avec sa famille, où il semble mort après 1760. Sa veuve et plusieurs de ses enfants, après un exil de près de dix-neuf ans, arrivèrent à St-Jacques de l'Achigan, à l'été 1774, et s'y fixèrent.

In 1755 Claude and Marie were deported to Boston, Massachusetts with their children except for Pierre-Benjamin. Claude died 1760 in Boston, Ma. at the age of 65. The majority of his children, and hiswidow, eventually settled in Saint-Jacques-L'Achigan, QC in 1774.

Biography ==Claude Bourgeois was born about 1695. He was the son of Germain Bourgeois and Madeleine Dugas. He was age 3 onthe 1696 census of Beaubassin.
He married Marie Le Blanc daughter of the late Pierre Le Blanc and Magdelaine Bourg 24 November 1721 at Annapolis Royal. Claude and his family were deported from Port Royal to New England in the fall of 1755 during the Expulsion of the Acadians. He lived in NewEngland until his death at Amesbury, Massachusetts.
Biographie==Claude Bourgeois serait né vers 1695 en Acadie . Il se marie le 24 novembre 1721 à Port-Royal à Marie Leblanc, née le 1er janvier 1706 et baptisé à Port-Royal le 28 mars suivant, fille de Pierre et Madeleine Bourg. Frappée de déportation en 1755, la famille se retrouve au Massachussetts en Nouvelle-Angleterre. Claude y laissera sa vie entre 1763 et 1766. Sa veuve et les enfants s’enfuiront vers Lanaudièreau Québec, cette nouvelle Acadie où les attendaient des compatriotes accueillants. Marie y meurt le 24 janvier 1781 et inhumée le lendemain à St-Jacques-de-L’Achigan.
