Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Tuesday, June 7, 1966, page 10:

  Final rites for Clyde Conrad Blackburn of 90 Circle Drive, manager of P.N. Hirsch and Company 11 years, will be Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at St. John's Memorial Chapel.  Mr. Blackburn, 60 years old, died Monday at 9:15 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland. He had been hospitalized nine days.

  Visitation is at the Lesley Marks Funeral Home until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when the body will be taken to St. John's Chapel to lie in state until the service.  The Rev. Don Maple, assistant pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

  Mr. Blackburn, who previously resided at Brookfield, Mo., was born May 1, 1906 at Hunnywell, Mo.  He married to Miss Ann Clark of Hannibal, Mo., on June 24, 1942 in Maryland.

  Besides his wife he is survived by two children, C. Conrad and Candace Ann Blackburn of Edwardsville; his parents, Murle Blackburn of Clarence, Mo., and Mrs. Jewel Stille of Quincy; and one brother, Charles Blackburn of Ottumwa, Iowa.

 He was an Army veteran of World War II.  Mr. Blackburn was a member of St. John's Methodist Church, Edwardsville Lions Club and the Brookfield, Mo., Lodge AF & AM.
