JEMIMA4,John3,Jonathan2 was b. in Newark, NJ., about 1730. "Littell's Passaic Genealogy" gives the following account of her: "She married COL. SAMUEL POTTER3,Daniel2,Samuel1, who d. July 11,1802, aged 76. His widow died Nov.25,1819, aged 89. He was an officer in the militia in the Revolution; an elder of and prominent in the Church of New Providence, also a Justice of the Peace.
