About Jemima Potter

Jemima Baldwin, was b. in Newark, NJ., about 1730. "Littell's Passaic Genealogy" gives the following account of her: "She married with COL. SAMUEL POTTER3,Daniel2,Samuel1, who d. July 11,1802, aged 76. His widow died Nov. 25,1819, aged 89. He was an officer in the militia in the Revolution; a elder of and prominent in the Church of New Providence, also a Justice of the Peace."
Children were: Caleb (c1750), Lydia (1757), Samuel (c1760), Prudence (1761), Jemima, Enos (1762), Isaac (c1765), Mary (1769), and Bethuel (1774).
