In the 1950's my g.grandmother Loduska Catherine (Hanna) Craddock, d/o Roxanne Robertson & Drayton Hanna, wrote a letter listing her mother's parents' and silbings. She aslo added a few birth/death dates and other details. Below is some of the info from her letter. Some of the names were hard to read due to spelling and/or less than perfect handwriting, so they are written as they looked to me. If you know any of the names or can help in putting this family together at all, please contact me.

Hi Pam,

This is the third time I have tried to respond and something always comes up. My last name is Eaddy. My grandmother was:

Mary Evie SPRAYBERRY born 14 Aug 1882 in Hollins, Clay, Al. died 11 Mar 1974 in Hollywood,Broward, Fl. She was married to

John Alexander SMITH, 8 Aug 1903 in Ellisville, Jones, Ms. My grandfather was born 7 Feb 1866 in Goodwater,Coosa,Al. and died 27 May 1948 in Jacksonville, Duval, Fl. His parents were Nancy Kelley and Elijah Smith. He had another family before he married my grandmother and I have searched for years for them, no luck. That doesn't fit in with your research though.

Grandma's parents were:

George Sylvester SPRAYBERRY born 10 Dec. 1856 (my baby book) my Dad says he heard George committed suicide by drinking carbolic acid. That seems a hard way to commit suicide, maybe it wasn't suicide. He married Angeline Robertson (Roberson, Robinson) 19 Nov 1878, Coosa, Al.according to "Alabama Marriages 1800-1920." They were listed as Geo. SPRAYBERRY and Angaline ROBERSON.

Angeline was the daughter of Cynthia Aldridge (Arledge, Ardidge) and Albert Robertson (Robinson, Roberson). I believe them to be the same couple who was married 02 Feb 1840 in Harris Co., Ga . They are listed in "Georgia Marriages to 1850" as Cynthia Ardidge and Albert Robertson.I am not sure about his death. Barb has a date and dying in Chambers Co., Al. I haven't researched

this yet. I came across an Albert (Robinson) in the 1850 Mortality Schedule in Coosa County, Alabama, Page 56, he was a married man age 36 born in Dec. in SC. who was a farmer and killed by stabbing. I have always wondered if this could be him.

My Grandmother left a small piece of paper with some names of her family and besides Roxann and Angeline she wrote the name KIPLEY. This has always been a puzzle to me. She didn't talk a lot about her past. Gave me bits and pieces. For one thing she asked me why I had named my daughter Roxann and I didn't know but I had always called my baby dolls Roxann. She said she had an Aunt named Roxann. I have not been able to find Kipley's.

Cynthia was born January 3, 1818.
