• 2- Damaris (daughter) born 25 (15?) July 1696 ( former date from VR, latter from church rec.)
• 3- Mary (daughter) born September 26, 1698; bapt October 2, following.
• 4- Elizabeth (daugter) born June 24, 1701. The Boston Commissoners' Reports give the marriage of William Montgomery and Elizabeth Haws, he of Rowsick (Maine), she of Milton, March 24, 1717-18, Rev. Peter Thacher, Officiating, but the Milton records reads: William Mount Gomery and Elizabeth Harcy, places and date the same as above. Nothing further found.
• 5- James (son) born 11: 2 months,1705 (21 April printed VR); bapt 11: 1 mo: 1705-6; died Sept 6, 1706 ae. "16 months"g.g at Uphams Corner Yard.
• 6- Hannah (daughter) born about 1707. On March 14, 1719-20, being 12 yrs of age, she chose Thomas Bird as her guardian. She married in Boston by Rev. John Webb, July 8, 1736 to William Whittle. The new North Chruch, Boston, widow to administer the estate of her husband, William Whittle, mariner, deceased May 24, 1754. Nothing further found.
• 7- Amity (daughter) born April 22, 1719; bapt. August 14, 1709. John Beighton (uncle) waver of Dorchester, was made her guardian at age 10 year old., March 14, 1719-20. Was married in Boston by Samuel Checkley, Esq., February 9, 1726 to Nathan Bradley Jr., son of Nathan by his second marriage. he was born in Dorchester on January 9,1703.

Short History

Thomas Bird, Born in England about 1613, joined the Dorchester Church in 1642. He was a tanner and lived on what is now Humphreys Street. Thomas Bird Died June 8th 1667, leaving a will. His widow, Mrs Ann Bird, died August 1673. John Bird, Born March 11th 1641; died August, 1732. A clause in his will reads; "I have done what I judge sufficient for my daughter, Damaris Hawes, deceased and I give to each of her children, 12 pence." Elizabeth, a younger sister of Damaris, Married John Beighton; John Bird, her brother, married Mary Royal (Isaac William). Elizabeth Williams of Tauton, died October 20,1724, ae.77.
