She married Israel Dean [Deane] of Taunton, Massachusetts, on March 20, 1704-5.[1] Israel died on July 4, 1719, "a. 34" (gravestone).[2]

Katherine (Bird) Dean died at Raynham Center, Massachusetts, on August 5, 1768, at the age of 83. She is buried at Hall and Dean Cemetery in Raynham, Massachusetts.

1. Stephen, born February 15 or 17, 1705-6; died March 3, 1705-6.[7][8]
2. Catherine "Katherine", born February 10, 1706-7; married, December 31, 1730, Ebenezer Hayward [Howard] of Bridgewater, Massachusetts.[9][10]
3. Silence, born July 7 or 17, 1709; died April 2, 1726, in 17th year.[11][12]
4. Mehitabell, born April 10, 1711; married (1) Nehemiah Walker, (2) Stephen Smith; died October 15, 1781.[13][14][15]
5. Israel, born January 28, 1712-13.[16]
6. Joshua, born March 3, 1714-15; died before 1719 (not named in father's will).[17]
7. Susannah, born 1717; married Stephen Wilbor.[18]
8. Abiel, born about 1719; married, November 28, 1741, Anna Tisdale; died March 31, 1781.[19][20]

In his 1719 will, Israel states that he has four daughters but does not specifically name them. We have: Katherine, Silence, Mehitebel and Susannah. Israel also names his "only son Israel" which leads to the conclusion that son Joshua must have died prior to the writing of the will. Israel's reference to "that child which my wife is now big with" must refer to a then unborn Abiel who was born sometime (probably soon) after his father's death.[6]
