  • To wife Ann, household goods in use at "Duddington Mannor," except portion of plate due at death of mother [unnamed], which is left to son Charles. Articles of intermarriage to be duly executed; 1/8 part of interest accruing from investment of personal estate by exs. to be paid wife during her widowhood.
  • Trustees instructed to sell all negroes and chattels not herein devised, and the produce thereof with all personal estate to invest in the funds, or stocks in England for advantage of 3 child. Also to sell all tracts of not more than 500 A. and invest as afsd. for benefit of 3 child.
  • Testator states that being entitled to 5000 A. on Tom's Creek on Monoccasie, being part of a warrant of 20,000 A. granted his father bequeaths sd. 5000 A. to daus. Eleanor and Mary and their hrs. Also that a patent having passed to testator and to his brother [unnamed], and sisters [unnamed] for 10,000 A, at mouth of monnoccasi, testator releases to sister Mary all rights and interests in sd. tract, according to intention of father-'s will, Testator being interested in an iron work on Charles, Run, near Gwin's Falls,Balto, County, instructs his trustees to use proceeds from same for equal advantage and benefit of three child. until son Charles attain age of 21, Should trustees decide to sell testator's pt.of sd. works, money to be laid out and 1/2 interest thereof to be divided between 2 daus. and other half of the interest with the whole principle to sd. son,
  • Testator being apprehensive that brother Charles will be the only acting trustee under this Will, and that powers given sd. trustees may not be fully executed or completed before death of sd. brother, he is given full power to delegate and appoint by his last will (or in any other writing) any person or persons to perform any of the trusts or powers given sd. brother.
