David Allen Fig, 67 Jan 1 1941-Sept 6, 2008 Chidester, Ark - David Allen Figg, age 67, of Chidseter, Atr., died September 09, 2008. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served as finance chairman. He graduated from Bloomington High School and was a graduate of Indiana University. He was a member of Acacia Fraternity, Ouachita County Deputy Sheriff Association, Bluff City Cemetery Board and Camden County Country Club. He was a Master Mason and York Rite.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Woodrow and Eva Edington Figg; and father-in-law, "goat" Harvey.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Harvey Figg of Chidster, Ar.; mother-in-law Vera Harvey; daughter Stephanie of Iwial; and son, Jason of Illinois; brother, Rod Figg and wife Denise of Bloomington, In.; sisters, Sandi Wampler and husband Walt of Gosport, In.; Bev Clark and husband Steve of Lansing, Mi. and Kristi Jackson and husband Brady of Bloomington, In.; stepmother Judith Figg, family friends Dr. Jonathan Lewis and wife, Tanny and Bill and Charlie loving grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday September 12, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Camden Ark. with Bro. Buddy Ratliff officiating burial will follow in Bluff City Cemetery. Proctor funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday September 11, 2008 at the funeral home.
