They had three children: James Alonzo Osborne, Nathan Allen Osborne, and Eliza Josena Osborne. Sadly, Nancy Emeline passed away on August 31, 1851. On April 20, 1853, David married Mary Porter Guerrant, in North Carolina. By 1870, they had settled in Anderson County, Kansas. David and Mary had seven children: Sydney Bumpas Osborne, Nancy Emeline Osborne, Daniel Thomas Osborne, Mildred Catherine (Kate) Osborne, Elizabeth Magdaline Osborne, Hugh Guerrant Osborne, and Anna Virginia Osborne.
