  • He married Abigail Lakin, at Groton,
    • daughter of Sergeant John and Mary Lakin, of Groton.
    • Her father and his brother, Lieutenant William Lakin, settled in Groton with their grandfather, William Lakin, who died December 10, 1672, aged ninety years, at Groton.

  • He married Abigail Lakin in 1685 in Groton, MA where their 8 children were born:
    • James 1686, Robert 1688, Samuel 1690, John 1694, Abigail 1696, Jonathan 1698, Rachel 1699 and Eunice 1705.
  • Samuel died in 1712, probably from smallpox;
  • his widow Abigail remarried to a Robt. Dickson.
  • According to a manager of the Groton OBG (Old Burying Ground), there are an estimated 400 graves in the OBG that do not have grave stones and it is presumed by the author of this bio, that Samuel Parker's grave is included amoung the unmarked graves.
