Georg Plaut was born in Frankfurt in 1883 and died in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1950. He changed his name to Georg Pauly. He received is Ph.D. in chemistry and was the author of Aschenbrodel Ohr (Cinderella's Ear)..

He was married in Berlin in 1913 to Hermine C. H. Correns, born 1887 in Stargard (Pomerania), and divorced in 1939. Hermine graduated Stern'sches Conservatorium, Berlin.

Georg was remarried in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1950 to Dora Heyman (born 1898).
