Known as the original "Endfield" Waller...He emigrated to Virginia circa 1696 while in his 20s. He purchased Land (1039 acres) from Elias Downs, located in Pamunkey Neck, on the Mattaponi River, which became King William County in 1701. He established his Plantation called "Endfield."

Apparently John Waller and his wife resided in Newport Pagnell for in the register of that parish we find the births of their numerous children recorded.

Doctor John and Mary (Pomfrett) Waller had issue:

  • William Waller, born September 24, 1671
  • John Waller, born February 13, 1673; emigrated to Virginia;
  • Mary Waller born May 23 1674.
  • Thomas Waller, born October 17, 1675.
  • Steven Waller, born November 4, 1676
  • Benjamin Waller, born March 18, 1678 died 1735; his will is recorded Archdeaconry of Bucks, Register 1734, No. 67.
  • Edmund Waller, born February 3, 1680
  • James Waller, born May 25, 1683; died January 1683/4
  • Jemima Waller, born August 3, 1684; she was still unmarried at probate of her father's will in November, 1723.

This Waller was reportedly the co-owner (with his brother) of Kunta Kinte by Alex Haley. The Haley genealogy has been debunked, however.
