Ebenezer A. Durfee (1761 - 1847), son of Joseph Durfee (1745 - 1794) and Abigail Buck, was born 24 December 1761 at Canterbury, Windham County, Connecticut. He served under Captain Robinson, Captain Williams, Colonel Ely, Colonel Enos, and Colonel Webb in the Revolutionary War. Ebenezer married (1) Sarah Newton ( - 1813 Bristol, Addison County, Vermont), (2) Abigail (Unknown) Gould. He died on 18 April 1847 Westport, Essex County, New York, and was buried at Hillside Cemetery in Westport.
