"Ebenezer Moon was buried on his farm and is the first burial in the James Cemetery known as Exeter Historical Cemetery No. 102. His burial at this cemetery is suggested in a deed, conveyed by his son." During the sale he noted, "reserving to myself and heirs only, one square rod of ground for burying where the burying place is now begun." According to Rhode Island Historical Cemetery, "There are unmarked fieldstones in this cemetery that could be John Moon and his family who were the previous owners. John Moon, Jr. sold the land to Rev. Joseph James in 1775."
