Edward Ernest Jones

Edward Ernest Jones was born on the 14th March, 1870 a Maitland Point, Uralla, New South Wales, Australia. His parents were Tarmar nee Manuel and George Jones. On the 1st January, 1894, Edward married his first cousin once removed, Ada Nina Manuel, at Barley Field, Uralla, New South Wales. Edward died from "carcinoma of maxilla" on the 8th of February 1935 at Glen Innes, New South Wales.

Edward and Ada had four children they are as follows:

1. Edward Ernest born 15/10/1894 at Uralla, he married Edith Millicent Folbigg at Glen Innes on the 31/12/1919. And they had 2 children, Allen and Norman.

2. Sidney born 23/06/1896 at Uralla and died 18 May 1979. He married Ivy Hyatt on the 30/03/1921 and they had 5 children: Joyce, Jean, Keith, and twins, Max & Bruce.

3 Florence Isobel born 31/08/1898 at Uralla . She married Leslie Hampton Valentine Murray at Glen Innes on 20/02/1917. They had 11 children: Gertrude, Len, Ray, Sylvia, Ruben (aka Jack), Reg, James, Mervyn, Shirley, Eric and Ruth.

4. Doris Mabel born 09/10/1902 at Uralla. She married Reginald Batier at Werris Creek, Uralla, on 07/07/1928 and they had two children: Allen & Shirley
