Edward Moyle was tried at the assizes held at Launceston on 19 Mar 1785. He and John Rowe were tried "for feloniously breaking and entering the dwelling house of Benjamin Barrett about 11 in the forenoon no person being therein and stealing thereout two coats value 50s. and other goods value 17s.8d. his property." He was found guilty of stealing the goods and not guilty of breaking and entering the house in the day. Both were sentenced to be transported for seven years. Edward was transported aboard the ship 'Scarborough' and arrived in Sydney Cove on the 26/1/1788 aged 31.
Edward Miles married Susannah Smith on the 31/10/1803
Edward died 19/8/1838.
