Also Edward Montague Stoney, beloved husband of Mary Stoney, who departed this life the 10th of May 1884 aged 47 yrs."

But Bermuda Royal Gazette, 30 Sep. 1873, states "Warder Hamilton, Military Prison, St. Georges, was under orders to embark for Halifax, vice Warder Stoney who arrived here on the 12th instant, but died in Military Hospital on 19th." That gives him a death date of 19 Sep. 1873.
