Edward H Welp

Mt. Angel - Funeral servcies for Edward H. Welp, 86, who died at his home here Friday morning, will be held Monday. He had been a resident of this area since 1911.

 He was born April 11, 1873, in Chicago. After his wife's death in 1908, he and two daughters moved here three years later.

 He was a piano tuner and piano and music teacher here most of his life. He was for many years organist at St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he was a member of St. Joseph's Verein.

 Mr. Welp is survived by his daughters, Miss Rita Welp and Miss Fides Welp, both at home.

 Recitation of the rosary will be Sunday at 8 p.m. in St. Mary's.  The funeral service will be there Monday morning at a time to be announced by Under Funeral Home.  Burial will be follow in Calvary Cemetery.
