About Effa 'Effie' Redaford
Notes
- From The Descendants of George and Nancy McElwain: Effie McElwain, oldest daughter of George and Nancy McElwain, remained in Shenandoah County, Virginia. Her husband was in the tax list of that county in 1784. After Vynent Fine was killed by the Indians there is no record of her marriage to Rhueben Redaford.
- From http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/fine/1998-10/0908053575 Vinet's son Isaac was born in Tennessee in 1781. That means Effie was living in Tennessee in 1781. If Effie returned to VA with her children, then her daughters would have most likely been married in the place where Effie was located. Her daughters would have needed protection of a husband to travel to TN. My data indicates that they married in TN.
