He was one of the five contributors who built the first schoolhouse within the jurisdiction of what is now Seabrook, in 1717, and purchased about 1720 "The Merchant's Magazine or Tradesman's Treasure," by Edward Hatton, for the use of the school to be kept therein. This book was in a good state of preservation and in possession of Oliver Eaton, Esq., in 1888.
Mr. Eaton writes : " I can remember the old Greeley mansion, vacated by Andrew in 1747, with its nice wainscotted front rooms and stairway, its wide paneled doors and wooden latches.”
