Elijah Perdew

PERDEW 28 Dec 1909 Mr & Mrs Elijah Perdew yesterday celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Beans Cove PA. They were married 27 Dec 1859, at the home of the late Isaac Wilson, near Flintstone by Rev. Charles McClure. Mrs Perdew was a Wilson prior to her marriage. The following children attended: Frank A Perdew, a well known attorney of Cumberland; John M Perdew of Cumberland; Emory C Perdew, Thomas Carl Perdew, Mrs Estella P Perdew and Luther Perdew- all living on the home place. Mr Perdew has the following brothers and sisters living: Mrs Rebecca Bennett of Hewitt PA; George M Perdew of Cumberland; Neri Perdew of Oregon; William Perdew of Idaho; Mrs Mary Robinson of Clear Ridge PA; and Mrs Alice O'Neill of Cumberland. Mrs Perdew has the following brothers and sisters still living: Thomas Wilson of Rush MD; Mrs Clay Fletcher of Beaver City Nebraska; Adolphus Wilson of Johnstown PA; Harry Wilson of Keyser WV; Miss Laura Wilson and Mrs Cora Wilson of Flintstone; Mrs Agnes Miller of Tennessee. Mr & Mrs Perdew have lived at the homeplace since their marriage.
